Desiree Marisol Carcamo is a film & theater maker, writer, and aspiring physician and clinical researcher. They are passionate about working in their communities through storytelling, education, and medicine.
Their professional background includes nursing administration (clinical education coordinator), graduate medical education (GME) (clerkship/residency coordinator), and film and theater production (writer-director-producer freelancer and art and costuming production assistant). They earned their combined masters-bachelors in bioengineering at University of California Riverside.
Desiree is Mexican-Salvadoran and first generation American. Born in Los Angeles, half-raised in LA and the Inland Empire, they work throughout southern California in LA, the IE, and the Coachella Valley.
